Te Anau Helicopters has been flying visitors over Fiordland since 2014, run by local couple Gaven and Jennie Burgess out of Te Anau Manapouri Airport — about a 1.5‑hour drive from Rarakau Lodge. Their fleet covers everything from a quick taster flight to full-day adventures combining flying, hiking and jet boating.

Every flight is built around the same wild scenery on our doorstep — Doubtful Sound, Dusky Sound, Milford Sound and the peaks between them — and most trips include at least one remote landing somewhere you'd otherwise need days on foot to reach.
